The ideal applicant should demonstrate these characteristics: •Personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is modeled in day-to-day life •Fully support the mission of Edgewater United Methodist Church •Work well with students with a love and desire to see students come to know, love and follow Jesus Christ •Work well with adults and parents with a solid knowledge of how to help parents help their respective children •Must be able to walk the line between challenging students and showing grace •The ability to work efficiently and effectively in team situations is critical, as well as the ability to work independently •Flexible Hours – To accommodate youth and youth programming •Time Management Skills – Must possess solid time management skills and organizational abilities. The ability to coordinate several activities at once and to quickly analyze and resolve specific problems is important •Creative – The ideal candidate should be creative, have a passion for students, be high energy, hard working, and have the ability to motivate others •Must be able to partner in ministry with the pastor
