Job Description:
We are looking for a Children's Ministry Director to oversee and provide leadership for children ages birth through sixth grade. We are a church with a clear purpose. At First Baptist Church we help any willing person to reach their fullest potential to become radically Christ-like. We are currently looking for an individual who has Children's Ministry experience and a demonstrated ability to passionately recruit, train and lead a large number of committed volunteers.
The desired applicants must: * Have the desire to win children to Christ. * Provide insight, coordination and implementation of Children's Ministry. * Provide insight, coordination and implementation of Children's Sunday School. * Provide direction for two growing AWANA Clubs on Sunday and Wednesday. * Have strong leadership and organizational skills. * Be a people oriented team player and team builder. * Recruit, equip and oversee all volunteers. * Be able to plan and put together special programs (winter and summer camps, VSB, etc.) and curriculum. * Provide mission opportunities for children. * Possess strong people skills. * Have a desire to work with the pastoral and church staff. * Love and seek God in their live. * Have a servant's heart. * Plan for future growth and development of Children's Ministries. * Coordinate training and planning sessions for children's leaders and workers. * Manage Children's Ministry budget. * Be available to counsel and pray with children, their parents and volunteers regarding spiritual matters. * Stay current with the latest changes and advances in Children's Ministries. * Model Christian maturity and kingdom values in both personal and professional life.
