Children's Ministry Director/Day Care Director The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and support related tasks in relation to the operation of the Day Care facility and the Children's Ministry of the Church. This person must love working with children, be energetic, outgoing and have strong team-building skills. This is a full time staff position that involves leadership and oversight of all ministries to children from birth to 8th grade (current children's attendance 250-275 per Sunday) and overseeing of the Church Day-Care. The Children's Ministry/Day Care Director is responsible for the daily, on-site operation of the child care center including maintaining compliance with the standards and Licensing laws of the state of Texas and the carrying out of all administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running and operational excellence in all of the Children's Ministry Programs. The Director will also be responsible for the hiring of Day-Care Center employees as well as their general supervision and work schedule.
The Director must have... A Current Texas Day-Care Director License or qualify for Texas State Licensing by meeting the requirements listed by the State of Texas in the State of Texas Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers Document -section 746.1015 The heart of a missionary A knowledge of the Hispanic culture and language An education in or experience in early childhood development Children's ministry experience Mature faith and an excellent character/attitude Strong organizational ability Strong interpersonal skills The ability to recruit and train/develop volunteers and leaders The ability to develop events which will build both character in our children and also outreach to our community
